Location: Knoxville, TN (Bearden Area)

Position Type: Part-Time (5-15 hours per week)

Compensation: $15+ per hour, commensurate with experience

Haven Counseling Center in Knoxville, a local provider of faith-sensitive mental health counseling services, is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant to join our team. This role could be an excellent opportunity for current college/graduate students in behavioral health and/or other individuals interested in experiencing firsthand the workings of a group counseling practice, or simply someone who would enjoy contributing to the healthy functioning of a helping community.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Practice Manager in various administrative tasks, including things such as  office/business administrative tasks, and some out-of-office errands.

  • Assist with planning, organization, and implementation of projects and initiatives, as directed by the Practice Manager.

  • Manage and maintain internal records, documents, and databases.

  • Conduct research and compile information, as requested by the Practice Manager.

  • Maintain a clean and organized office environment.

  • Support the Practice Manager in fulfilling clinic duties.

  • Demonstrate initiative in productively filling work time and proactively seeking feedback and direction to best serve the Practice Manager.

  • Assist the Practice Manager in implementing the interior design plans drafted by the Practice Manager.

  • Other tasks as assigned by the Practice Manager.

  • Some driving and/or out-of-office errands may be requested. All personal car millage will be reimbursed at the current Tennessee mileage reimbursement rate.

 

Qualifications:

  • Valid Drivers License

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • High level of flexibility to engage in different tasks and adapt to changing priorities

  • Proficiency in basic office computer skills (email, spreadsheets, etc.)

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive information regarding clients' health care.

  • **Due to the boundaries in psychotherapy professional ethics, current and/or former counseling clients of the practice cannot be considered for this position. 

  • Previous experience in an administrative role plus and will reflect on pay rate.
