Jenni Freemyer is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (Tennessee and California licensure). She received her Masters from Regent University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with a graduate certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy.  

Jenni grew up in Knoxville and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Tennessee. After a season of life in overseas missions, Jenni moved with her husband to northern California in 2014 for him to take a position with Woodleaf Young Life Camp, while Jenni began her career as a therapist where she served clients in both a church-based counseling practice and in a community mental health agency, gaining amazing experience and training.

Since moving back to Knoxville in 2020, Jenni enjoys the privilege of helping to address the emotional needs of her hometown using her extensive psychotherapeutic skills, while she also continues to serve her California clients through telehealth. 

Jenni loves providing therapy and seeing clients feel accomplished as they work towards healing. She strives to create a safe place in her office where clients may feel comfortable and understood. Jenni considers her job a privilege and is humbled by those individuals who chose her as their therapist.  She understands that it takes such courage to participate in therapy and she would be honored to walk alongside you in that healing journey. 

Jenni works with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. She has advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples. Jenni has extensive experience working with clients affected by emotional trauma. She is trained in EMDR-Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing and Brainspotting, which she uses to help clients process through trauma. She has a certificate in Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. Jenni is also trained in Sand Tray Therapy which is an effective tool which can be use with all ages. In addition to trauma, she sees clients dealing with anxiety, depression, grief/loss, relational-stress, spiritual concerns, and other mental health issues. Treatment will be tailored to your needs as a client.

Jenni loves exploring the outdoors with her husband and daughter. Fall in Knoxville is her favorite time of year, and she rarely turns down a chance to drink coffee with friends or family.
