Reggie considers it a deep privilege to walk alongside others through all experiences of pain, healing, and personal growth. As Reggie listens to the stories of clients, she is reminded that people make sense within their context.
Beginning her journey as a therapist, Reggie gained valuable clinical experience while working completing her graduate clinical practicum and internship with Ebenezer Counseling Services in Knoxville. There, Reggie walked along side adolescents, adults, and senior adults experiencing acute/complex trauma, disordered eating behaviors/body image, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, religious/spiritual issues, grief, loss, sexual identity issues, and other life transitions. She knows that each client needs individualized care, and she looks to remain gentle and curious towards her clients’ experiences.
Reggie believes that it is through a safe environment and relationship that authentic change can take place. Her aim is to create this space through principles of genuineness and empathy, child and adult trauma interventions, and sound practices.
For her undergraduate education, Reggie attended Oklahoma State University where she received a Bachelor’s in English Literature. Prior to graduate school, Reggie worked with a children's advocacy nonprofit and foster family agency. She completed her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a graduate certificate in Trauma Counseling from Richmont Graduate University. Reggie is a pre-licensed therapist in Knoxville, TN, and she is working towards licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor-Mental Health Service Provider (LPC-MHSP) in the State of Tennessee under the supervision of Matt Scheuneman, MA, LPC-MHSP-AS.
Reggie grew up in West Texas and has loved living in East Tennessee since 2017, when she moved to Knoxville to be a part of the Fellow's Initiative. Since being in Knoxville, Reggie has also contributed time to YoungLife and Knoxville Area Rescue Missions (KARM). When not at the office, Reggie enjoys attempting to have a green thumb, reading new books, going on walks with friends, and spending time with her husband and golden retriever.
